In support of the UK’s Life Science Sector Plan and NIHR’s national Life Sciences Industry Hub, we are building streamlined support pathways for businesses at all scales, from SMEs through to multinational pharmaceutical and medtech companies. ‘Triple helix’ programmes bringing together public sector, academic institutions and industry partnerships with a dual focus on both patient benefit and regional growth, ensuring value to both health and wealth in the West Midlands. Building on our established reputation as one of the largest and most innovative hubs for clinical trials in Europe, this includes major investments in enhanced industry-ready capabilities in areas such as near-patient biomanufacturing, health data and genomics, as well as expert R&D support and funding platforms for innovative businesses looking to scale in-region.
